HFS-1 80/20 SUBSTRATE
Technical Description
The Hansa Forestry HFS-1 80/20 SUBSTRATE is a base product for making substrates on the site. It is a natural, ecological soil conditioner, that regulates air and moisture around plant improved and efficient growing conditions. Peat moss usually is compared to a sponge, because of the unique cellular structure and attributes consisting of large cavities that can easily absorb water and air.
Benefits of peat moss
- Peat moss can retain to 20 times its weight of water
- Peat moss loosens up and ventilates this type of soil
- Peat moss helps to create structure for sandy soil and preserve moisture and necessary nutrients
- Peat moss protects soil from hardening and adds many organic materials to soil
- Peat moss speeds up the composting processes, controls water and air in the compost, and reduces odors
- Peat mossreleases nutrientsslowly and gradually over time, therefore, reducing the amounts of chemical fertilizer use
- Slightly decomposed white peat: 80%
- Black milled peat: 20%
- Limestone: 7 kg/m3
- Fertilizer Yara PG Mix 18-10-20: 0.80kg/m3
- EC level <0,2 ms/cm
- 85-95 % ORGANIC MATTER
- pH 5,6
- Moisture 50-65%
- Particle Size: 0 to 5mm
- Packaging: 250L, 300L, Big-bales
